This model was posed in my studio under strong, artificial lighting conditions and with the influence of yards of brightly colored fabric. When the color of the cloth is saturated and brighly lit, it cannot help but reflect obviously into the flesh. This is a method of studying the effects of reflected color on flesh, as advocated by Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia. I attended workshops in 2004 & 2008 in this modern day atelier that teaches strong draftsmanship with an impressionist sensibility for color.
